At the time of writing, I’m a summer marketing intern for the marketing department at The Ohio State University. I’ve been a marketing intern for just over a week now. I agree with the above quote — in college, especially at a less prestigious school, I find that a lot of internships are just there to find out who the cool kids are. I believe that the most important thing is to be yourself and not to be worried about pleasing someone else.
I think I would have to say that I would work for a college student who is really laid back and not very organized. I think that most of the interns I see at my current company, the one who is definitely not a “cool” kid, are the same. They are just people who are very laid back and do not have any idea of what they are doing.
I think all of the interns I see in my current job are really laid back and don’t know how to do anything. They don’t even know how to talk to each other so I don’t know if they would ever get along at all.
