If we expect a party to be boring and not have the same people over and over, we will leave early.
The thing is that people expect that parties will last for hours and hours. That doesn’t mean that everyone will be there for all that time. We are often mistaken to think that we can just run to a party and expect to get a party to last all night long. Some people will still leave early, but we should consider that those people may not be the ones who are there to have a night out. And we should also consider that we can and should also leave early sometimes, too.

It also doesn’t hurt to remind some people that you can’t just call someone you haven’t seen in a while and expect them to show up to a party.
