The plot-line of both the movies revolved around a lying husband and his suspicious wife. InCharlie Chaplin, Prabhu and actor Abhirami played the husband and spouse roles respectively. The story revolves round a gang trying to delete an already ship WhatsApp video message. Poor story, Lazy screenplay, Decade old comedic dialogues, total very poorly executed. But why make a sequel when you realize it’s not an improved version of the original? Charlie Chaplin 2, a wasted sequel, is carelessly written with a foul screenplay and outdated ‘jokes’.

Shakti Chidambarams’s hits ‘Maha Nadigan’, ‘Englishcaaran’ and ‘Charlie Chaplin’ along with comedy had a narrative to inform that related to the audience.
Though initially there is a mix-up, later Sara also reciprocates. Her doctor dad Ramakrishnan also agrees and the marriage date is mounted. Just a day before the wedding, a misunderstanding takes place that leaves the proposed marriage in jeopardy! Whether Thiru rectifies the error and enter into wedlock with Sara forms the reminder of this mindless comedy. Though the plot is old it does have the chance to offer laugh out loud moments which Shakti Chidambaram has did not capitalize on.
