We think so much about what’s happening in our brains and how our brains work that we don’t have the time or the energy to think about all the things happening in our lives that are truly amazing. This is why our society and culture often fall short of the mark when it comes to appreciating what truly matters in our lives.
In our society, we often think of things like “attention-getting words” by saying things like “that’s the way it should be.
We’ve all heard these words over and over, but what are they really all about? If you’re like me and have a hard time visualizing or understanding something, you can try this exercise. Write down as many of these words as you can. Read them aloud, then think about how “it’s so cool to say that!” and “they shouldnt say that.
Well, lets say I’ve never heard of “you shouldnt be afraid of the dark” before. If I was to hear that, I’d probably think “why would anyone think that?” and be really confused. But I’ve heard it a lot. If I were to look it up, I’d come up with “It’s not scary because it’s dark.
The words we tend to be afraid of are ones that would be hard to define. One that is especially hard to define is the word “fear.” For many, it’s a way to avoid thinking. It’s also a way to express our own feelings of anxiety, fear, and nervousness about something. People tend to describe themselves as scared of something or someone, but the truth is that we are afraid of nothing. And that is a dangerous state of mind.
Fear is a hard word to define and it can be hard to understand, but what we can make of it is that it is an emotion we experience in response to the threat or danger of something. So, it is one of those feelings we feel when we are faced with a fear that is beyond our control.
And that’s where our attention goes. When we’re faced with fear, we want to focus our attention on something and act upon it. But if we focus too much, if we fix our attention on fear, we can’t actually fight it, it becomes our way of coping. We can’t change our fear, and we can’t change our response to it.
This is a common point to hit. The key thing is that we can fight our fear by focusing our attention on something else. So when you are scared, and you focus on something else, you are actually fighting your fear. And while we cannot change our fear, we can change the way we respond to it. That means that, in order to fight fear, we must first learn to focus our attention on something else.
I know we’re meant to be the ones who keep our focus on something else, but we can get distracted by other things. It’s easy to become distracted, especially if you have a stressful job. Being distracted by something like a text message, which is on a very short timer, is a good way to start your day off.
I am guilty of doing this too, but when I have a stressful day it can be almost too easy to get distracted by something else. I can try to be more focused on what I am doing, but this is only half the battle. I need to be able to keep my mind on a task, and I need to start my day by focusing on something else.
