What grips me is how quickly people get excited about new projects and how quickly they get excited about things they don’t know they want. I dont think that there is a single person who hasnt wanted to start a new project before. But I have a feeling that a lot of people dont want to start. They think it would be boring, or some other thing. And it wouldnt be the same because they dont know what the hell they are talking about.

The problem is that too many people start something before they even know what it is. People who think that there is a need to build something before they have a clear idea of what they want to build are a little nuts. They are probably thinking, “My project?” And the fact that they think that way is what I find so sad. They are just being inauthentic about how they think things should be.

If you are going to start building something before you know exactly what you are going to build, you really need to take a step back and come up with a plan. And you should be thinking about what it is you want to build, not just what it is you want to buy. A lot of people start something when they are bored and think it will take them a little while to complete it.
