When you are a beginner in a new hobby, you are often told “just start.” But the truth is, when you are trying something new and it seems hard at first, you won’t do it, you will quit. So, this is my advice to beginners who are new to a hobby. Just start.
In life, when you get something you want you have to work for it. If you are in a new hobby, you have to work for it. If you are a beginner in a new hobby, you have to work for it. If you are playing video games, you have to work to make your hobby more than a hobby. The only difference is that you can work for it every day.
I’ve been playing video games since my childhood, but I always find myself playing new games every day. I think it’s because each time I play something new and exciting, I’m a little bit more aware of the games I have, and their purpose and significance in my life.
I’ve always found video games to be a little bit boring, even when I’m playing other games with friends. The only time I’m ever really happy while playing video games is when I’m playing Dark Souls, and I feel completely immersed and free, almost as if I’m the one playing the game.
When I was younger I thought that video games were the only medium where you felt alive. After realizing that I was alive in other mediums, I started to think of all the other people I know who enjoy video games and the things these games can do to you. That’s when the idea of playing Dark Souls dawned on me.
Dark Souls, or the Souls of the world, is an action-adventure game in which you play as a character who is basically a cyborg. You control your character by sliding on top of a platform and shooting at enemies. One of the things this game does is makes you feel like an impotent, helpless, and hopelessly stuck-in-a-loop. With that kind of thing, you can feel like something is really wrong and you just have to help it out.
If you’ve ever played Dark Souls, then you know that it can be quite frustrating. I don’t care to play games like Dark Souls, because I find them really frustrating. It’s the nature of the genre. I do, however, think that the game, in its current state, is a step in the right direction.
The game has its own little tone, and it’s a good one. It isn’t going to be the most well-constructed, detailed, and polished of games. But if you like impotent, helpless, hopelessly stuck-in-a-loop games, then Deathloop is worth a look.
Its not all gloom and doom, though. The game is actually kind of a bit of a puzzle. Each time you play, you have to figure out what happens right after you die, which is a lot of fun. So far the game has you walking around, figuring out how the game is supposed to work, and then figuring out what happens when you die. It’s pretty simple and easy to handle, and it’s definitely not going to make you feel all helpless and lost.
Deathloop is very simple in that it can be played by anyone. The game has no hidden features, no menus, no menus that have to be clicked or anything. There are no checkpoints, and death is instantaneous. There are no obstacles that you have to jump over or run from. It is all about figuring out what you need to do, and then following through.
