Samsung released a new smartphone called the J7 a few weeks ago. The J7 was the first phone I had to have, and it was one of the easiest to use. The phone’s design was pretty simple, it had a curved screen and a fingerprint scanner on the front. The screen was very easy to see when you held the phone in your hand, and the fingerprint scanner was easy to use.
The device, however, was not the easiest to use because it did not have a very wide range of apps. I personally don’t think it was a big deal because it had a huge number of apps on it. Still, for some of the apps I was not sure if I was using them correctly. I tried the J7 on the Samsung Galaxy S 4 running Android 4.0.3 and the Galaxy Note 3 running Android 4.1.
The thing is that you can get an S4 or Galaxy Note 3 with a touch of a button and the same software and you will get the same apps: Google search, Gmail, and all the other big apps like Netflix, YouTube, and Pandora. The only two apps that are missing are the Weather app and the Samsung Health app.
It’s not the apps you’ll miss, but the software that you’ll be missing. The Samsung S4 and Galaxy Note 3 both use the Android 4.0.3 Jelly Bean operating system, while the J7 uses Android 4.1. We’re very happy to see Android have finally caught up with the rest of the mobile operating systems, but it’s still not something you will see on the Samsung J7.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 is still coming, but there’s still no sign of the Android Jelly Bean update on the device. If you ask us, that shows a real lack of commitment to the software. And with Android finally getting Jelly Bean, it’s more likely that Samsung will be rolling out another update for it anyway. The Galaxy J7 and J7 Edge will both come with a 4.2-inch screen, which should be enough for a lot of apps.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 and Samsung J7 Edge are both expected to come with 4G and 4G LTE connectivity. A recent update for the Galaxy J7 has brought the device with WiFi Direct functionality.
The Galaxy J7 will be the latest in Samsung’s “smartphone-first” line. You will see a lot of new software updates, but you will also see a lot of hardware upgrades, too. The Galaxy J7 is said to be the first truly edge-to-edge phone, so it will have a lot of screen real estate. There will also be a dual-lens camera, a 5-9.
At this point, the only thing that we really know for sure about the Galaxy J7 is that it will come with LTE connectivity. We might also get to see a fingerprint scanner on the device. The Galaxy J7 will be out in the first half of 2012.
Samsung is already doing a lot of the work on the Galaxy J7, and it looks like it’s ready to start putting the pieces together. In fact, Samsung has already begun taking the design process one step further and put together a new website, which is a great place from which to get started. We have had some nice pictures of the Galaxy J7 floating around on the web for a while now, so it’s about time to get our hands on one.
