With the new year comes a new Pagalfilm. And new year, new goals. One of the best things about starting the new year is that the Pagalfilm provides a great opportunity to look ahead to the best of your life so far and to move forward.
The Pagalfilms are a great way to focus your life in the new year and provide some much needed perspective. For years I’ve seen people obsess with the idea of what they want to accomplish in this new year. And, for the most part, they’re right. However, at the end of the day, it’s just wishful thinking. Every new year is different and the ideas you had in the past don’t apply to a new goal. Of course, some do.
The Pagalfilms (and all of the things that follow) are just that. The best way to get ahead in your life and the way to move forward in a new direction.
Pagalfilms are the little things that you do to move forward, but theres nothing particularly small about the work that goes into making them possible. There are a lot of different styles and techniques and the results can be spectacular. Theyre not as flashy as a new car. But that doesnt make them any less useful. They are the small, but significant things that you can do to move yourself in a new direction.
Pagalfilms are a great way for new students to get a taste of design, get to see the process of making a poster, or simply get a good idea of how the whole process works. I have found, especially in the last couple of years, that I am a lot more motivated to work on my own designs when I put them on a poster and can do things like write my name. It makes things a little easier, and it gives me a sense of accomplishment.
Yeah, that last bit is what I like to call a “gravy slide.” By putting a poster up on my wall I can look at it, feel like I’m making a decent effort, and then I can go back to reading the book or other stuff to distract me from any of the stuff that makes me feel “bad.” It’s a great way to make the process of doing a design thing more rewarding.
I think this goes back to the whole “if it’s not going to be good enough, then it’s not worth doing.” This is why I’m in the business of creating things for everyone. I’m not going to do something for a lot of money if it’s not going to be great. If I’m going to do something for free it better be something that I want to do, and if it’s not, its not worth doing.

I love making work. I love the feeling of creating something in the world that I want to share. At the same time, I don’t hate when I see money being made. I don’t hate when my work is rejected, because its a part of my life. I don’t hate when it makes me feel bad to make something. I just dont think money is worth making.
