The church doesn’t tell us to go ahead and do anything in our personal lives that is against the teachings of the bible. Its just that its not in the bible to tell us how to live, and it teaches us that we should keep our own business and relationships to ourselves. And a lot of people are not very good at keeping their own business and relationships to themselves.

Mind your own business is a very popular phrase in churches. When I was in the church it was often used as a way of saying, “You are the one I can tell what I want to do. I am your servant. I cannot order you to do something.” Now I am not saying that everyone who talks to God and claims to be a servant of God must be in love with God. It is important to keep your own business and relationships to yourself.
