Just so you know, I have had this problem with my galaxy s7 phone, and it is so annoying. The phone has a flashlight built into it and when I put the phone in the charger it actually pulls in the flashlight. This makes me use it less because I dont have the time and energy to go through the settings to turn it off and on.
So in short, it is possible to turn your phone into an actual flashlight by holding the side button. Its a fairly simple process that you could do over and over without changing anything in the settings, but it would take some time and would probably take too long to get the phone out of the charger.
