The feature will be available in Google Talk, Google Calendar, and Google Documents, and it will support the ability to turn off smart compose for all users. The only difference between Gmail and these other services is that Gmail users will not be able to turn on smart compose.

Smart compose allows Gmail users to quickly compose a message and send it to others. The reason for this is that it’s an effective way to communicate with people with limited typing abilities. Gmail users who have to type a lot of text can do so with smart compose enabled.

The only drawback to turning off smart compose is that all of the other services will not be able to sync their calendar to Google Docs or Google Calendar. As a result, you won’t be able to sync your Google Calendar or Google Drive with your Gmail account.
