I have an internship at my local community college and I’m always talking to one or two of the other interns about the school I’m in. I’ve even seen some of the other interns’ internships. It’s always fun seeing what the other interns are doing in their respective fields, and I’m always interested in what their careers are like.
I think it’s a really neat way to find out more about what Im learning in college. As someone who has been in finance internships for years, I see it as a chance to really see the world through a different angle. Some of the other interns dont see it that way, and Im glad.
I think finance internships are as good of a chance as any to learn what your day-to-day job might be like as well as what types of things you might enjoy. One of the good things about it is that you never know what your job will be like, and you can always see what the other interns do and why. This can be super useful if you end up doing something you’re not the best at.
I went to a finance internship a few years ago which was pretty great. I was in a good position where I could ask any questions I had and did pretty well with the interview. The other interns were pretty down on me because I was a bit too quiet and didn’t talk as much as they thought I should have. I think that just shows you the type of work that you can do and a good way to learn the job.
That being said, it does depend on what you want to do. If you want to stay in the finance field, a finance intern is probably the right path for you. They are good at analyzing numbers and doing really useful calculations. Its just a matter of what you want to do. If you want to go to grad school, then a lot of the interns are more suited to that. They know how to communicate and help people.
The finance internships in the area I work are about 8 hours each. It is a good way to get your foot in the door. I think the pay is about what you would make if you were doing a traditional college type of internship, so it is a good thing to do. It is a lot of fun.
I am not a finance intern. I do not get paid a salary. I am a graduate student working on a degree in accounting (which I actually did for two years). It is a fun way to get into the industry. I love going to work and meeting all the new people.
It is a good way to get a foot in the door as well. Because the field of accounting is very competitive, you are going to receive a lot of applications. And it is very rewarding. Also, the internships are very flexible. They are about 8 hours per week. So you could work a few days, and then work overtime in the evenings.
I don’t have any internships in my immediate area, but I’m hoping I get one. I am currently applying to several internships in the area, and I hope to make it to at least one of them soon.
The internship thing is such a great perk that you will probably be hard-pressed to find a better one. I’ve been lucky enough to have had a couple of internships in my previous career and I’ve always been impressed with the opportunity it provided for me to get a foot in the door as well.
