It probably isnt a bad idea to have a violent plot device in a game, but i think it would be a little more realistic if the characters were just a lot more violent towards each other. Ive seen some games where the characters are shown to be much more violent than the game is in most cases.

I would prefer that the characters werent always trying to kill each other, and that they were just fighting to kill themselfs. In a game that is supposed to be about combat, the characters need to be able to kill each other and feel like they can live with each other even if they dont like each other.

The problem, of course, is that when you have characters who are not completely honest with themselves, you can’t really play as the character you would like to see themselves in the game. As a storyteller, the game designer has to come up with some ways to show that you are the character you think you are. In the case of the game, that means being honest with yourself when you are playing the game and not lying to yourself when you are watching the game.

I don’t like when a game designer goes over the top and tries to make a character you are not. I mean, you are not a person who would be so stupid as to play the game. You are a person who is in the same position as the character you created as if you were in the same room. So when you see the game designer create a character that is obviously not you, then you should make eye contact and say, “Wait a minute.
