I know it sounds weird, but I can easily spot something out of context.
When you’re talking specifically about the word “detail” in art or photography, the word “detail” is a synonym of “quality” or “artistic merit.” We make a distinction between the two because, in my opinion, art is supposed to be more than just a bunch of pictures. It’s supposed to be a reflection of the artist, and a means to convey something that the words can’t.
Its not weird you say, because the word detail is used to describe a lot of the things that we do. For example, if youre talking about a piece of art, you would use the word detail to describe the artistic merit of the piece. Likewise, if youre talking about a painting, you would use the word detail to describe what makes it a great painting.
The word detail is another synonym for eye. The artist is just using the word to describe something they already know. The artist is not using the word to describe anything that the viewer doesn’t already know. For example a painting is usually called a “mosaic” or “masterpiece” when you understand the meaning of it, and you would use the word to describe a painting.
So eye for detail is a synonym for detail. Likewise, if youre talking about a painting, you would use the word detail to describe what makes it a great painting. The artist is just using the word to describe something they already know. The artist is not using the word to describe anything that the viewer doesnt already know. For example a painting is usually called a mosaic or masterpiece when you understand the meaning of it, and you would use the word to describe a painting.
Here is a painting, as a painting is an object that is used to form a picture. So again, the artist is just using the word to describe something they already know. If you dont understand the meaning of what they did, you wouldnt use the word to describe it.
Eye for detail is a synonym of art. A lot of people use the word eye to describe what they are. And in fact that is what the word is used for.
When I saw this painting I was amazed, because it was so detailed. It was really very eye-catching. I was thinking that the painting was pretty but not as good as they say here. Maybe my expectations were wrong. But I was so impressed by the art that I started to wonder if art could be as beautiful as the paintings on the screen above.
Art can only truly be understood when you look at it through a “third person” perspective. In this case, I’m looking at the art through the eyes of the artist, which is why I’m not able to see all the details. But what I can see is that the artist has created something that is really quite impressive.
Eye for detail is a bit of a misnomer. Art doesn’t always look as good as it seems; it is in fact not at all what it seems. For example, look at the art above. It’s not that good. And its not even really that good. But the artist was being sincere. His eye for detail was simply creating something that truly looks like art.
