The truth is that humans are hardwired to imitate. We are born with this ability and it is what makes us who we are. That is especially true of those who we think are more like us. In this case, that includes us. We are all drawn to the same types of things and we all have the same tastes.
Our tastes can be incredibly different, which can be very limiting when it comes to our own personality. For instance, we can all like the same types of music, but we may all find something else as well. If we all have the same taste, then we can all be stuck in our own little worlds. We can be very happy with what we have, but we may not be the same as our friends who are sadder or happier.

But if you are a nerd who likes action movies and anime, you won’t really have much of a reason to like music.

As Dan Brown has said before, he doesn’t get scared, he’s just a bit overawed. He probably doesn’t realize that most of the horror movies he watches are made by people who get scared, and that’s okay.
For the sake of this discussion, we can assume that Im a fan of scary movies (but not horror movies) because I like horror movies, I don’t have a bad taste in music, and I like to try to live life to the fullest.
A lot of horror movies and music are done in the style of Dan Brown’s works, which I think makes it a bit of an over-exaggeration. Its hard to be scared of something that you cant see and also not think about the consequences of what you’re doing.
