At first glance, contradict might seem like a good idea to me, but I have to ask if it is really that great a idea. In most cases contradict is a bad idea because it means you end up having to repeat yourself. The goal is to get to the point where you have a consistent flow of ideas, plans, and steps. It is not to stop and re-connect with old memories. In fact, it is to keep your mind fresh.
The problem is that when you’ve said a thousand times out loud that you’re going to do something, you almost never end up doing it. So when you’re stressed, you start doubting your own ability and not getting anything done. Conflicting ideas and plans are what makes you the great leader you are. You have to be able to create a plan and stick to it, or else you’ll miss your mark.
Conflict is the key to being a great leader. When you know what you want and you have a solid plan, it takes less effort to figure out what you need to change than it does to change it. So when your brain is conflicted and youre looking for the right way to go, youll see it.
