I’m not a big fan of emphasis – it’s something that I’m not so much used to. For me, emphasis is the first thing I think about when I hear the word “self-aware,” and I’m not sure why. It’s kind of like a double negative.

I don’t think you can be self-aware and not know you’re not. For example, the word awareness is a passive verb and one of the first words many people learn in school.
