The holiday season is upon us, and so the French Revolution reaches its apex with a festive revolution of its own. The characters in Assassin’s Creed Unity are wearing winter clothes, but they’re not getting any presents this year. This year it’s all about assassinating King Louis XVI to free France from tyranny.
Assassin’s Creed Unity is in the third-person, and you have a full range of actions available to you. You can climb buildings with your grappling hook if they’re close enough together. This will allow you to leap from one building to another, or get that great view of Paris as seen atop Notre Dame cathedral.
You’ll encounter various enemies on rooftops while climbing up – this includes soldiers who will shoot at you if they see you; however, stealthily sneaking by them behind cover is also an option for players more inclined towards finesse than force. Stealth attacks are very different from other games where it comes down to just finding a hiding spot before striking when their backs are turned.
