I miss my grandpa. He always took me fishing and showed me how to cook his famous tacos. I wasn’t sure what he would think of this blog post, but I decided to write about him anyway because he was such an important figure in my life. I miss my grandpa. I wasn’t sure what he would think of this blog post, but I decided to write about him anyway because he was such an important figure in my life. Abuelito who.  My first memory is seeing his hands covered in flour from making tortillas for the family’s breakfast before school each morning.

Abuelito told us stories that kept me up at night when we couldn’t sleep as a child. When you’re little everything seems so much bigger than it actually is like giants lived under our beds or maybe dragons hunted in the forest outside our home. It felt like anything could happen.
