For years I’ve been singing, reading, listening to music, and watching my favorite TV shows with my kids. I have a pretty good memory, so I always get stuck in a routine that is so familiar that I forget I was the one who first started it.
While I was singing along to “Candyland” last night, I noticed that my routine was still in place. I had been singing into my phone and while I was singing, my phone vibrated. I looked at it, saw that it was my husband, and then instantly remembered I was singing and continued on. I felt great about it.
I’m not going to go into detail about my current favorite TV show, but I will say that I really like my kids watching it with me. I started out with my youngest when he was three and I had him in the same room with me, so I knew what that routine was. Then I got older, and our routine was to sit down and watch reruns of my old shows from the 90s with a glass of milk and cookies.
The two things I miss the most about my husband are that he is smart and that he is, well, awesome. I have a long-standing tradition of listening to him play the guitar, and of course, he’s the one who taught me how to play it. He’s an incredible musician, he has been in a band since he was in high school, and he has been a part of every big piece of my music collection since I was a little girl.
So yeah, back when I was in high school and college, I used to listen to the music I listened to growing up. I would listen to it all the time, and I was always a fan of everything from the Beatles to the Dead to Nirvana. I also always loved the shows that had music by bands that were still playing in the ’90s.
Well, now that I’m older I can’t listen to these shows without wanting to kill them. I still go back to them occasionally though, because they are my favorite songs. The one I’ve started using for the song is from the very first Nirvana show, and that is also the first song from any Nirvana song I have ever been able to listen to. I can’t even begin to explain how bad it is, so don’t try. It’s just bad.
Yes, its bad. The original Nirvana is good, but this song is so bad. I guess I should stop talking about it.

The song is about a girl who falls in love with a guy who is in love with a girl. The guy is older than the girl, so he doesn’t have a chance.
