Character development is not an accident. We need to be aware of it just like we need to be aware of our own development in other areas of life. It shapes our attitudes about life and the people we choose to care for, as well as our choices to do well and do well by others.
Characters are not only important to the story, they are also what sets the story apart from the rest. For example, while the story is about a man named Colt Vahn who’s gone missing, it also shows us the world’s first interstellar robot. This robot is called the Ark (Archer). In the story, we learn that the Ark is part of a time loop, but in reality it lives its own life in an alien world.
That’s right, we get to watch the entire game unfold without actually playing it, you know like we are with the first playthrough of The Sims.
the whole game is set in a time loop for no real reason. The reason for this is that you and your team are working to take out the Visionaries and bring back the Ark; we just don’t know how. The only way to know what happens next is if you play a few levels in the time loop, so you have to rely on your imagination.
The whole point of the game is to unravel the mystery of who you are and who you are not. You can say that’s exactly what the game is about, but we know exactly what we’re doing. In the space of a day you meet ten different people and change their lives forever.
The problem is that, unless you’re a superlative player, you’re rarely going to have the time to spend with these characters. You will likely spend more time working on your own character then you will spend on this one. I’m not saying you shouldn’t play this game, I’m just saying that it’s important to spend time with the characters you want to play.
In a game where you can be a hero and do something for the greater good, character development is very important. We’re not saying you should play this game because you want to be a hero, we are saying that you should play this game because you want to have fun. There are going to be times where you want to help the Visionaries but the story doesn’t allow it, or you don’t have the time (or you don’t have the right mindset) to do it.
The fact is that if you don’t like the character you’re playing, don’t play it. Most games don’t have that much of a choice. You either like the character or you don’t, and if you hate the character, don’t play it.
In the real world, most people play video games because they like to be a hero and the story tells them that they can. But in video games, it’s not the story that tells you that you can be a hero. It’s the gameplay that tells you that you can be a hero. And that is precisely why video games need the kind of character development that most games dont have. Characters need to develop, they get better, and they need to grow and change over time.
This is the primary reason why the game-play of games like Call of Duty, Mass Effect, Fallout, and Fallout: New Vegas is so good. It’s not because characters grow, it’s because the game is designed to allow people to grow. People get better, and grow, and in some cases they even become better.
