My wife loves to buy a new (and usually more expensive) set of tools every time she has a new project. And I love it too—I’ve been building a lot of different things in my early days of carpentry, so I get to use a bunch of the tools that I’ve been collecting for years. The main thing I like about these kits is that I can use them for almost any task.

I really like the idea of these paper tools. I’ve used them in the past to create logos that are pretty much exactly the same as the original graphic design. You have to be very careful about the shapes and colors, but I think it’s a great way to get into the toolbox and get some skills under your belt.
