So I came across this link from a fellow developer, but the description is slightly misleading. The phrase also refers to the fact that many of our freedoms are being taken away from us in the name of “progress.
I think the word “progress” is a bit overused these days, and we should try to avoid getting too attached to it. But there is no doubt that the trend of “progress” is happening all over the place. The word “progress” has come to mean a lot of things. As I said before, the term can mean “the advancement of society.” It can mean “getting better” or “getting better faster.” It can mean “the improvement of something.
Of course, the most popular way to describe progress is in a technical sense. Everyone is always talking about the need to improve technology for example, but I think it misses the point. Technology is not like a dog eating a bone, and if you want to talk about progress that is not the most useful way to describe it.

This is also true in music. No one said there was an end to technology, they might as well have said there was an end to creativity. That is not the point.
