I have always enjoyed learning a lot about myself, and as a result, I’ve realized that in general, the more I know about myself, the easier it is to understand my motivations and actions. It’s amazing to me how much information, data, and information I can absorb from the web and then put to use.

One of the most obvious examples of this is the Wikipedia article on self-awareness. I’ve found that once I read the Wikipedia article, it gives me a lot of ideas for research. For example, I have a theory that self-awareness has something to do with the way we process information– it’s why we don’t remember things after we’ve already made them up.

Although Wikipedia is a great resource for exploring the breadth and depth of ideas and concepts, it is not a place where we can simply turn to and expect to find answers to our questions. For example, when I read the Wikipedia article, I do not expect to find a single answer to the question “What is self-awareness?” That is, I am not looking for a complete answer because I dont think there is one.

Wikipedia is about as complete as you can get, and as such it is more of a resource for understanding the general framework of things than for answering specific questions. That being said, what I find most fascinating about Wikipedia is how the different articles are linked together. In other words, you can read one article and then go to another article to see how they are related. The same is true of Wikipedia’s article on Self-Awareness.

I am the type of person who will organize my entire home (including closets) based on what I need for vacation. Making sure that all vital supplies are in one place, even if it means putting them into a carry-on and checking out early from work so as not to miss any flights!
